Saint Louis, Senegal (2015)

Having lived in Dakar for 6 months, Saint Louis was the classical destination for the weekend. An interesting city with a clean and empty center colonial district, and slums all around, filled with fishermen. An authentic African city with a special mood. I shot this serie at sunset to enhance the impresion of extreme temperature that we felt during the day. The city seemed totally “between sea, sun, and lazyness'“, as the heat forbid you to work during daytime hours (11am-3pm). Outside the city, an incredible wildlife can be seen in the mangroves and the 2 national parks.
